Bellwood regularly collaborates with award winning industrial design company Chris Hardy on interior projects, catering environment to user needs. The combination of industrial and interior design is unique in so far as spaces can be developed from a macro (holistic concept) as well as micro (detailed product development) perspective creating an interior that is both authentic and unique.
Together Chris Hardy P/L and Bellwood Group offer a tried and tested service to develop interiors, furniture and lighting products that are developed around the user, meet budget, lead-time and functionality.
Chris Hardy P/L and Bellwood Group have been developing Australian made furniture and lighting products for local specification markets since 2012. In this time we have developed excellent relationships with a wide variety of quality manufacturers and suppliers with whom we now collaborate in the development of new work.
The expertise we have accumulated in developing ranges for individual clients enables us to offer a consultancy service to develop products to a client’s specific requirements in terms of a budget, required aesthetic and lead-time.
An outdoor communal table and bench seat assembly called void, developed specifically within the education context, is a good example of this. The client, Malcolm Boyes from the Northern Sydney Institute was unable to find an existing product within the supplier network that suited the application or budgetary requirements and instead chose to work with us to develop a product that did
